Normal & Pathological Development of Neural Crest Derivatives
This November the School of Integrated Science and Humanity, together with the Department of Biological Sciences, will host Dr. Lionel Larue (Institut Curie, France), as the first speaker in our highly anticipated Lectures in Biomolecular & Biomedical Sciences lecture series. Dr. Larue's research focuses on the molecular and cellular mechanisms that underlie the generation of melanoma, the deadliest form of skin cancer. He utilizes information gained from studies on the development of pigment cells, the melanocytes to uncover new avenues for the treatment of melanoma.
