Symposium on Persistent Toxic Substances
|Venue:||FIU GC Ballrooms/Miami Airport Marriott Hotel|
This year, the 9th ISPTS comes to the exotic magic city - Miami, Florida, USA, and it will be organized by and held at Florida International University (FIU) during October 23-27, 2012. Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry served Yong Cai as the ISPTS symposium chair. The scope of the 9th ISPTS will broadly revolve around all aspects of PTS, including environmental chemistry, toxicology, and analytical chemistry of PTS. We welcome all abstracts related to characterization of transport and transformation of PTS in the environment, evaluation on toxicological and ecological effects of PTS, and development of analytical and bioanalytical methods for PTS.
Persistent toxic substances (PTS) are receiving world-wide attention due to their high resistance to degradation, high bioaccumulation capability, and long-duration toxicity to the ecological systems and human health. The International Symposium on Persistent Toxic Substances (ISPTS) series is aimed to provide a platform for scientists working on PTS around the globe to discuss and exchange information on the most recent findings, innovative theories, frameworks, and methodologies regarding PTS research.
