FIU hits graduation milestones: first class of physicians, youngest to date and 200,000th graduate

Spring graduation at FIU will make history this year, as the first class of physicians walks across the commencement stage. In separate ceremonies the university’s youngest graduate, as well as 200,000th graduate will receive their degrees.

“Commencement is always an exciting time of renewal and celebration, but this spring will be quite memorable,” said President Mark B. Rosenberg, who will preside over three days of commencement starting on Monday, April 29, 2013. “I’m proud of our students for their determination and dedication to their studies, and faculty and staff who guide and inspire them along the way.”
