FIU alumna and physics graduate gives talk to students and faculty

Dr. Mansie Iyer is a recognized expert in nuclear detection, emergency response, test planning and execution. As an integral part of the Domestic Nuclear Detection Office (DNDO), Iyer’s presentation discussed the DNDO’s National Technical Nuclear Forensics Center and its research opportunities within nuclear forensics for graduate and undergraduate students and faculty, as well as various opportunities within the National Nuclear Forensics Expertise Development, including the new Nuclear Forensics Research Award, a competitive grant for Ph.D. candidates and principal investigators.
